Survey only shows 3 APs out of 5 — can I add/move them manually?

I had a question while using the NetSpot app. I completed a survey, but only 3 of my 5 access points are showing.

Is there a way to manually add the missing access points?

And if NetSpot marks an access point in the wrong location, can I move it to the correct location?

First question: are the missing APs not showing on the map, or are they not showing in the network list at all? Because those are two different problems.

@nightblade_13N_1 They’re missing on the map.

if they’re not in the list, lowering the threshold won’t help. NetSpot can’t place what it didn’t detect. In that case I’d start thinking:

  • hidden network

  • very weak signal at your scan points

  • wrong band / filtered network

  • or the AP just wasn’t picked up during the survey

If they are in the list but not placed nicely on the map, that’s a different story.

And yeah, you can move the AP markers. Just enable Position manually first, then grab the AP marker with the cursor and drag it where it actually belongs. just switch that checkbox on first.
