Did my survey first — can I reuse that map in Planning mode?

I first created a plan in survey mode, but then I realized I wanted to work in planning mode. I really don’t want to have to draw the map again:confused: Can I use the same map I drew in survey? Or will I have to redraw everything, or is there a way to use the existing one?

Yes, that’s possible. Just use File → Export Map, then start a new Planning project and load that file as your map.

As far as I know, there’s no “convert a Survey project to Planning with one click” button. But the plan itself can be reused. NetSpot allows you to upload plans from files, and Survey data can be exported as an image or map. So the workflow is as follows: export the plan from Survey mode, create a new project in Planning, and insert that file as a base.

@Ok-Cantaloupe-90 So basically not a real project conversion, just reuse the map image?

Well, yes. In Planning, you can create a project based on any file, and Survey makes it easy to extract your plan. I didn’t see a direct “convert” button, so it’s not exactly an automatic transfer, but as a workaround, it works great.
