What's the best tool for corporate Wi-Fi site surveys?

I’m expanding my side IT business into SMB/office Wi-Fi surveys. Looking for a tool that balances professional results with cost, avoiding overkill. I see Ekahau, Hamina, and NetSpot mentioned, but want to avoid expensive overkill for small commercial spaces. What is the sweet spot between a cheap tool and enterprise-grade software for this scale?

Ekahau is the undisputed standard for serious corporate Wi-Fi work, and for good reason.

@Training-Today9031 I honestly don’t get why people are so fixated on Ekahau all the time. There are plenty of достойных alternatives now. For me, NetSpot is the favorite in that space if we’re talking small-to-mid business jobs. Ekahau is more of a big corporate answer. The price is brutal, and the app itself is way more convoluted than a lot of people want to admit.

I’d at least look at Hamina too.Ekahau is the old default answer. Hamina is the newer “modern workflow” answer. NetSpot is the “practical budget-conscious” answer. Which one makes sense depends a lot on whether you’re trying to build a full-time Wi-Fi consulting practice or just handle real business jobs without overspending.

I think NetSpot gets underrated. People talk about it like it’s only for home users, but for small and mid-size office work it’s a very practical tool. You’ve got Planning mode for predictive layouts, Survey mode for heatmaps, and enough analysis to actually troubleshoot without dropping enterprise money on one piece of software.

I’m not against paying for a good tool, I just don’t want to buy something that’s clearly aimed at huge corporations if the actual work I’m doing is smaller-scale office jobs.
