GeForce NOW works pretty well in most of my house, but the second I try playing from my bedroom it gets borderline unusable.
Lots of stuttering, blurry video, input delay, sometimes it feels like the stream is about to disconnect completely.
My internet speed is fine and this doesn’t really happen when I’m closer to the router.
Bedroom is a couple rooms away, and weirdly it seems even worse with the door closed. Is this just weak WiFi or is there something else I should be checking?
I had almost the exact same thing. Turned out my phone was quietly dropping from 5 GHz to 2.4 GHz when I went into the bedroom. I split 2.4 and 5 GHz into separate SSIDs for testing so I could force it onto 5 GHz and compare. That’s what finally made it obvious what was happening.

Yep. I’d check the signal and channel congestion before changing a bunch of router settings though. If you’ve got an Android phone or a laptop, run a WiFi analyzer like NetSpot and compare the 5 GHz signal near the router vs in the bedroom, especially with the door open and closed. Also check how crowded the nearby WiFi channels are, since interference from neighboring networks can make the connection unstable even when the signal looks decent. If it drops hard in there or the channel is heavily congested, you’ve probably found the real issue.
Cloud gaming is way less forgiving than Netflix. A connection can be fast enough on a speed test and still feel terrible if latency/jitter starts bouncing around every few seconds.
